Ate a lot in Salawan restaurant by the lake, met all of our needs. Feels safe. BTW, we spent the middle days of the vacation on a desert tour and were able to keep our bags in storage at the hotel which really made our life easier.Ask for a floor in the middle of the floor for better WiFi connection.

There's a nice terrace...This guesthouse is owned and run by a Thai middle-aged husband and wife team, both of whom speak English fluently and probably live in the same premises as the guesthouse. The buffet breakfast was good but when the hotel was busy there were not enough staff to manage the service properly so be prepared to wait a long time for a plate or a croissant if there are a lot of guests. PJ's just down the road rents scooters and cars - we rented a car for the day and it was a great way to get around the hills.

Her husband is friendlier and more sociable but it seems like this place is primarily managed by his empress-dowager wife, which is a shame as she does not reaslise the importance of building up a good, strong reputation for her hotel and there's not a hint of guest relations skills in her.
